Annum Architects seeks an Interior Architect / Interior Designer with 4–8 years of experience. The ideal candidate has experience with interior design in academic, cultural, and civic settings.
Responsibilities:
Experience with interior design preferably on academic, cultural, and civic work
Creates architectural finishes palettes and selects furniture systems and fabrics for client presentations
Provides budgetary and technical design guidance on interior selections
Produces schematic, design development, and construction documents drawings and renderings, in collaboration with the Project Architect and/or Project Manager, for architectural finishes, millwork, and furniture systems
Balances responsibilities on up to 4 design projects concurrently
Leads finishes and furniture meetings with clients and within the office
Understands and coordinates architectural and engineering systems relevant to interiors projects, i.e. electrical and lighting requirements
Reviews finishes specifications, furniture and millwork shop drawings, material samples, and CDs for conformance with design
Performs construction administration duties related to interiors and FF&E (e.g., RFIs, shop drawings, install coordination, punch lists, etc.)
Serves as an interiors knowledge resource within the office
Meets with furniture and material representatives to broaden knowledge and keep up with current offerings
Assists leadership in directing officewide interior design efforts
Requirements
Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program
Certified as an IIDA Professional Interior Designer or in progress
Excellence in design and communications (both verbal and graphic)
Experience with delivering all phases of an interiors project with institutional clients
Familiarity with building codes, specifications, and building systems
Knowledge of healthy building materials and finishes
Fluency in Revit, Enscape, CAD, and Rhino or SketchUp.
Ability to direct or coordinate work efforts of junior staff
LEED AP credential, or credentialed within 6 months of hire
Ability to travel
